Partnering Agencies
Numerous governmental agencies are involved in nutrient management in North Carolina. To provide uniform nutrient recommendations, the North Carolina Interagency Nutrient Management Committee was formed in 2002, with the intitial charge being outlined in a memorandum from then NRCS State Conservationist Mary K. Combs.
Members of committee include representatives from the US Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service, North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services-Division of Soil and Water Conservation, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services-Agronomic Division, and the Department of Soil Science at NC State University.
